I am trained and licensed as a relationally focused, trauma-informed narrative therapist, credentialed in story work and psychoanalytic supervision. THAT IS A LOT OF {psychological} WORDS. What the heck does that mean?
My therapy is not simply behavioral modification, but lasting and deep relational transformation.
My approach to counseling emphasizes that healing happens through relationships. In our sessions, I’m not merely a quiet therapist handing out worksheets—I actively engage with your internal-self to explore your thoughts and emotions. Emotions are powerful guides, helping us uncover the deeper "why" behind your story. I approach every part of your experiences & interpretations with curiosity- without judgment, especially the parts you may have hidden or suppressed.
As we build trust, all of your experiences become safe to explore. Together, we’ll uncover how your past, including unconscious parts, has shaped your values, beliefs, and worldview—these influence how you see yourself and interact in the world. Healing begins as we delve into relationship patterns, roles, attachment styles, and coping techniques you've developed along the way. We’ll bravely face the sources of both your deepest pain and greatest joy.
I’m a witness that ushers {all of you} back into existence.
In our therapeutic space, we’ll break down walls of guilt, shame, and hiding by understanding the deeper meaning, rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms. This allows for profound insights and personal growth. By giving space to all aspects of your human experience, without repression or fragmentation, we create the opportunity for you to become whole. In this space, you’ll reconnect with your truest self, allowing you to love yourself and others more freely.
Just as our deepest glory must be held, so too must our wounds. In these places, we will engage a posture of curiosity of how those wounds have impacted your style of relating and the ways you have had to adapt to cope.
My counseling office is not a space for “fixing”, but rather healing… and empowering you to a future of lasting and sustained relationship with yourself, others, and your community. Imagine, a life lived in authenticity.
I am not afraid of hard, and I hold deeply a perspective of hope.
