Each of us holds powerful and meaningful stories that significantly influence how we uniquely view the world. Our past experiences shape our thoughts, actions, and feelings… every single day at an unconscious level.
It is in the examination of these stories, that we can begin to understand deeper how we have come to perceive ourselves, and our relationships with others, and discover a deeper purpose for our lives.
When we don’t take the time to engage with our narratives, we may experience symptoms like a lack of purpose or fractured relationships. In our attempt to just get through each day, we frequently end up coping in ways that turn us into passive participants rather than active creators of our own stories.
Story work is a thoughtful and carefully designed curriculum that invites you to venture beyond merely surviving each day, encouraging you to embrace a journey of thriving and personal growth. This transformative approach sheds light on the deeper narratives of your life, guiding you to uncover the strengths and wisdom within your own stories.
Story-work Consultation
This route encompasses a limited-session journey, seeking to bridge past narrative to future vision & purpose. It’s a deep dive with a set curriculum encompassing writing, reading & can be done in a set amount of scheduled sessions or in an intensive format, typically spanning 3 days.
This approach draws from certification through The Allendar Center and training from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. It does not replace mental health counseling and is not appropriate if you are experiencing acute symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other impairment to daily functioning. Often, it pairs well with the work someone is doing with a licensed counselor. It offers a deep dive into your true self, guided by an engaging curriculum.
